One Day Programme on Energy Conservation in Compressed Air System

Introduction

Industrial compressed air systems accounts for nearly 25% of industrial electricity energy demand. Compressed air system offer a saving potential of 20-30%. Matching the compressor to the system to enable to operate at best efficiency is often ignored during the selection of compressors. The energy saving potential in compressed air system is hidden and can be unearthed only by a detailed study including measurement of flow and determination of operating efficiency. There is a need to educate practicing engineers to tune up the existing system to maximise energy savings.

With this in view, Dr.Ambedkar Institute of Productivity, National Productivity Council, Chennai is organising a one day training programme on “Energy Conservation in Compressed Air System”.
