Training Programme on Team Building and Team Work

Training Programme on

TEAM BUILDING AND TEAM WORK

BACKGROUND

The liberalization process coupled with globalization of markets, has brought intense competition amongst industries and enterprises.  Their future survival and growth increasingly depends on how they overcome these challenges.  Organizations have to think beyond traditional basis of work and move on to emerging paradigms of surpassing competition.

Teams and Teamwork are the keys to building high performance.  Yet, a vast majority does not focus on Team Building and Team Working aspects and opportunities.  Teams have turned companies around.  Their accomplishments, insights and enthusiasm are eloquent testament to the power of Teams.

Motorola heavily relied on Teams to surpass its Japanese competition in Producing the light cellular phones. At 3M, Teams are critical to meeting the company’s  goal of producing half of each year’s revenue from the previous five years innovations.  Kodak’s Zebra Teams proved the worth of black and white film manufacturing in a world where color is the king.

In many Indian companies too, this experience has been successful but, it is only a beginning of new era in our industrial and organizational culture.  It has so far got some roots only and its full potential is yet to be exploited.
